Gaming Bytes has added the New Incentive Voting to our site. This allows you to set-up your voting, so that games that offer an incentive for voting can make sure their players are actually voting before they get the reward.
There are two steps to setting up your voting incentive for your game:
Step One: Change your voting link by adding the players username/userid.
This should be the username/userid you will need to credit your players for voting.
An example Voting URL (there are differnent ways to set this up):
http://www.gamingbytes.com/in.php?site=game&user=userid
Step Two: You enter a URL in the Incentive Setup secion of your game's manager panel.
When a player completes the voting, We will make a request to this Incentive URL and replace [user] with the userback value. You can then credit your player.
An example Incentive URL:
http://yourgame.com/checkvote.php?user=[user]
Incentive voting isn't for all games, and you don't have to set it up. However, it is a tool that allows you to make sure your players are completing their vote before giving them a reward for it. Keep in mind that if you have players from the same IP, only one will be credited for the vote because we only allow one vote per IP per site.
Once you have registered and submitted your game, there are very detailed instructions and an example script for setting up the incentive voting on your site. If you have any problems regarding the incentive voting system, please email us at group@loonygroup.com.
